Mivan completes £70m contract on the internationally renowned One Hyde Park: The Residences at Mandarin Oriental.

Mivan has recently completed the interior fit-out project at One Hyde Park, Knightsbridge – a c£70m contract.
Appointed by Laing O'Rourke in 2008, Mivan carried out the complete fit-out to two of the four Pavilions located in the heart of Knightsbridge, West London. Mivan had been in early dialogue with the One Hyde Park team during the initial pre-construction phase, securing the contract to build the demonstration prototype of a typical apartment which gave Mivan and the other key contractors, a crucial understanding of the project complexities and the level of quality expected from the client.
Mivan's contract comprised the full fit-out (including internal walls, and Mechanical & Electrical works) of 36 prime residential apartments, regarded by some as the world's best residences. Mivan also completed design development and managed all aspects of the site fit-out. Specialist joinery including doorsets, wardrobes, paneling and other features all of which were manufactured in-house at Mivan's 11,000 sq metre factory in Antrim. Through the duration of the contract, Mivan manufactured and installed over 1300
high-specification bespoke door sets. In order to achieve the exceptional quality standards a directly employed joiner workforce was used to set out for all trades as well as the installation of joinery.
This is the largest interior fit-out project that Mivan has been involved in, surpassing the iconic Scottish Parliament, the £43m project that Mivan were involved in from 2001 to 2004. Speaking about the project Operations Director Kenny Andrew commented, "The successful completion of One Hyde Park marks an important milestone in the company's history and a significant achievement by the entire Mivan team. The scale and quality of the end product has secured Mivan's position as one of the top, prime residential contractors in the market."
As a result of Mivan's excellent delivery at One Hyde Park, Development Manager Candy & Candy has continued to use Mivan in ongoing interior private commission work for individual apartment owners in addition to the complete fit-outs of the Candy & Candy designed show apartments in the scheme.
